Izy Behar, aged 67, has over 40 years’ experience in Human Resources.
Legal counsel specialised in employment law and graduate from IAE Lyon, he started his career in mass distribution and the Mammouth hypermarket chain. He then became Human Resources Director at Japan Airlines in Paris, before joining Crédit Commercial de France in the same role, which is now HSBC France. From 1999 to 2012, he held the position as Human Resources Director at Eutelsat Communications, a telecommunications satellite operator group.
He has always led important change management projects in the companies where he has worked across four business sectors: launch and integration of new human resources techniques in mass distribution in the 1970s; privatisation of the Japanese national airline; reform of the Banking Collective Bargaining Agreement and Pension Schemes; privatisation of Eutelsat international organisation to become a French private company, with the ensuing consequences.
He was elected as President of EAPM (European Association for People Management) from 2013 to 2017. Izy Behar is also a Director of ANDRH (French Association for Human Resources Management) and was Editor of the “Personnel” review, ANDRH’s monthly magazine, for 20 years up until 2017.
Moreover, he was President of the Technical Committee that designed the international standard ISO 30408 on Human Governance, which was published in September 2016.
He is a great fan of jazz and golf.
